As a Career Coach, with 15+ years of experience in higher education, I’m passionate about helping students discover their unique strengths and navigate their college-to-career journey with confidence.

I collaborate with faculty/campus partners and meet with students individually and in workshops or class presentations to support a wide range of topics, including:

• Self Discovery (interests, strengths, values, personality)

• Choosing a Major and Exploring Careers

• Gaining Experience

• Internship/Job Search Strategies

• Application Tools (resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills)

• Connecting w/Alums and Employers

• Planning for After Graduation (job search, graduate school planning, volunteer service)

I also enjoy training and mentoring our student team of Hub Ambassador Career Mentors and building collaborative campus and community partnerships.

Hi! I’m Laura, a proud Bennie (’05) and a First Gen graduate with degrees in Psychology and Sociology and a Master of Social Work. I’ve been at CSB/SJU since 2012 and I love helping students uncover their talents then find ways to connect them with meaningful goals. I’m here as an encouraging accountability partner — think of me as your career coach + cheerleader (minus the pom-poms, but with plenty of cheesy jokes).

As a Career Coach, I can help you explore majors, discover career paths, prepare for grad school, find ways to build experience and create professional application materials (think: resumes, interviews, and LinkedIn). I also support students in health & social services, but I get excited to meet with any Bennie or Johnnie!

I’m a Gallup Certified CliftonStrengths Coach and Mcode facilitator, so if you’re curious about your talents and motivations, I’d love to help you explore them.

Outside of coaching, I’m a big fan of CSBSJU Athletics, I’ll never say no to any kind of game or competition, and I’m a wannabe karaoke star (bring earplugs).

As a Career Coach, I meet with students to explore majors and careers, build experience, and plan for life after graduation, including job searches, graduate school applications, and service opportunities like the Peace Corps. I especially enjoy coaching students who are undecided about their major. I work closely with students in  the Global Business Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Accounting & Finance, and Economics departments.

Hi I am Lizzy (she/her)! I graduated from St. Kates with my bachelors in Psychology and Sociology and minoring in English and Critical Studies of Race and Ethnicity. I finished my masters in College Counseling and Student Development from St. Cloud State University. I have worked in a variety of roles focused on fostering student belonging, meeting basic needs, first-generation support, identity development, and empowering student success.

As a Career Coach with experience and an educational background in higher education, I am passionate about helping students discover their strengths, explore meaningful career paths, and confidently transition from college to career. I believe in meeting students where they are, providing individualized support, and equipping them with the tools they need to succeed.

I bring over 25 years of nonprofit/community development work; a solid amount of international & national experience of either living, learning, working, and/or exploring in 16 different countries and all 50 states; some decent barista props; wicked good driving skills; and a ton of passion for seeing students explore, do, reflect, and connect!   

I love helping students explore career by creating spaces & pathways to meet alums, employers, community partners, and more — I help students connect the unique dots in their own lives to the opportunities & experiences that will empower them to grow & to contribute to the “greater good.”
